I haven’t felt the need to ask for direct help from our supporters for some time. However, recently in prayer the Lord convicted me that I needed to reach out to others and solicit their help in accomplishing our goals at Barnabas Missions Unlimited. We can’t do it without your help. We have been working hard since the beginning of the year to fulfill our mission to win the lost, preach the Gospel, and teach others to do likewise.

We have a number of major projects in the works, which are key to establishing our first Regional School of Evangelism in Scotts Valley. This is the first phase of our Missionary Evangelist in Residence Program (MERP), which will be the vehicle for sending missionaries and equipping evangelists to the largest mission field in the Western hemisphere—neighborhoods in the United States. You can find out more about this vision from our website.

We need help to complete the production of two very important components to our efforts at equipping the saints.

(1) The video workshop Be His Witness, Part 1: Use of Questionnaires and Booklets to Share the Gospel, which will be used by churches and individuals to train those gifted in the area of evangelism to do intentional marketplace and neighborhood outreach as Jesus commanded it.

(2) Foundations for Faith, a discipleship curriculum delivered on a business card-sized CD and in print form for helping new converts become disciples by learning the basics about what it means to be a follower of Christ.

There are three ways you can sow into our ministry and connect with this significant work for equipping the North American church.

(1) By sowing generously into our ministry with your financial support.(You’ll find a return envelope enclosed for that purpose.) Production costs are expensive and we need to raise $25,000 to cover the past and future costs of producing our outreach materials and getting them into the hands of the church.

(2) By remembering us in prayer. There is much spiritual opposition whenever you try to do something significant for the Kingdom of God, but greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world and the fervent prayers of a righteous person are extremely effective.

(3) By reading and contributing to our online evangelism blogs. We have two. Evangelism Q&A is an ongoing discussion about what works and does not work in the area of personal outreach. Outreach Testimonies is where you can read encouraging and challenging accounts of the way the Lord is working in the lives of people to fulfill the Lord’s command to be his witness to all the world.

Would you prayerfully consider a generous check to help offset the costs of production so we can get these materials into the hands of the people coming to Christ and those leading them? Would you pray on a regular basis for our efforts to connect with churches and individuals to equip them for the task of personal outreach? Take some time and check out our web site—www.barnabasmissions.org. Look over the MERP plan there for sending out evangelists across the country and consider how you or your church could be involved in that effort. Check out our many outreach resources there and see if they could help you in your efforts to reach those without Christ. Post on our blogs your story concerning outreach, ask the most pressing question you have, or share with us some of your victories and challenges as you attempt to bring others one step closer to Christ.

We look forward to a long-lasting continual partnership with you for the sake of the gospel and hope you’ll contact us soon with your insights and questions.

Together with you for a Greater Harvest,
Brian Kelly
